20 Medical Students Kidnapped in Benue

About 20 medical students were kidnapped in Benue while heading to Enugu for the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention in Enugu.

The students, traveling in two buses from Jos, were ambushed by bandits in the Otukpo area on Thursday evening. The Benue State Police confirmed the incident and said they’re on it.

Drama as Ex-Aide to Defence Minister Arrested

Alhaji Bashir Hadejia, former aide to Defence Minister Bello Matawalle, was arrested on Monday on charges of treason and subversion.

The arrest has sparked outrage, especially after photos and videos surfaced showing Hadejia with high-profile figures, including former President Muhammadu Buhari. A trending photo from 2020 shows Hadejia presenting gold bars to Buhari alongside Matawalle.

Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Drops to 33.30% in July
