Petrol Scarcity remains

Fuel wahala is back again! Independent marketers are now selling petrol at a whopping ₦780 per litre. The scarcity has led to long queues everywhere, and some stations are even charging as high as ₦950 per litre. It is not easy.

Mpox cases are back, with 40 confirmed across 13 states. The NCDC is stepping up to control the spread. Please stay safe.

September Rollout for Dangote Refinery

The Federal Government and Dangote Refinery have agreed to start rolling out petrol by September. Local crude oil sales in naira are set to kick off on October 1st. Fingers crossed this helps with the fuel scarcity!

The online taxi company Bolt has put a stop to "inter-country" ride requests between Nigeria and South Africa. This comes after some people from both countries started booking and cancelling rides as a prank, stirring up a social media rivalry. Bolt just said, “Nope, not today!”

Whistleblower PIDOMNigeria Arrested

The Nigeria Police Force announced the arrest of Bristol Tamunobiefiri, aka PIDOM, for allegedly undermining government operations. Known for his anonymous whistleblowing on X.com, PIDOM was picked up in a hotel in Rivers State. Before the arrest was confirmed, there were fears as PIDOM had been missing since August 5th.
