Big Stories, Bold Moves: Edo Elections, Fuel Prices, and Fresh Stories on PoliZ!

Hey Zitizen,

It's been an eventful week, and we’re here to keep you in the loop! Let’s dive into the top stories making waves across the country.

Let’s start with the major news right now— the Edo State Elections.

Today’s the day! The highly anticipated Edo State Governorship Election is here, and all eyes are on the state. If you are an Edo State indigene, we hope you are prepared to cast your vote.

With several big candidates, the pressure is really getting wesser.

We’ve published a comprehensive Voting Procedure Guide, specifically for our first-time voters in Edo. Make sure you check it out!

It’s been a whirlwind of events in Nigeria, and this week’s headlines are no different. The new fuel price has hit Nigerians hard, with petrol now as high as N1,050. It’s no wonder that the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) is not happy.

Imagine earning N70k and trying to stretch it to cover transport, food, and, of course, the rising cost of petrol.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has confirmed that 281 inmates have escaped from a prison break in Borno State. Yes, you read that right—over 200 inmates on the loose as a result of the flood.

But it is not all bad news, some good news on our end—PoliZ is live! That’s right, our website is officially up and running.
